Justice A .T. Mohammed of the Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has convicted and sentenced Abiye Dokubo to two years imprisonment for impersonation
He was convicted on May 19, 2022, on one-count charge bordering on impersonation, upon his arraignment by the Port Harcourt Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Court Jails Two Internet Fraudsters in Benin

The Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday May 26, 2022, secured the conviction of two internet fraudsters, Aigbe Joseph and Adefulire Abiodun before Justice Efe Ikponmwonba of Edo State High Court, Benin City.
Joseph and Abiodun were arraigned on one count each of fraudulently representing themselves in order to defraud unsuspecting victims.

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Benin Zonal Command, on Tuesday May 24, 2022 arrested nine suspected internet fraudsters in Benin City.
The suspects: Makata Lucky, Samson Shakore, Ase Daniel, Osamwonu Terry, Moses Nosa, Makata John, Mataka James, Eze Solomon and Emmanuel Noghase were arrested at their hideout following actionable intelligence.
Court Orders Final Forfeiture of Containers In Lagos

Justice Mojisola Dada of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, on Thursday, May 26, 2022, ordered the final forfeiture of some properties belonging to one Obinna Anthony Okonkwo.
Justice Dada had earlier granted an interim forfeiture of the properties, following an ex-parte application filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The properties, which were recovered from the Lagos Port, include a container with no: TCLU A576813 located at 7, Okotie-Eboh Street, Lagos; a container with no: TGHU 8404304 located at 7, Okotie-Eboh Street, Lagos; and a container with no: GESU 600 located at a warehouse on 191, Muyibi Street, Olodi, Apapa, Lagos.
EFCC Arraigns Woman for N10m Fraud in Makurdi

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Makurdi Zonal Command, has arraigned one Amaka Oranuka before Justice Abdu Dogo of the Federal High Court sitting in Makurdi, Benue State.
She was docked on two-count charges bordering on obtaining money by false pretence to the tune of N10, 347, 000.00 (Ten Million, Three Hundred and Forty Seven Thousand Naira).
Specifically, Oranuka allegedly offered to sell two IX25 Hyundai SUV cars, worth N15,000,000.00( Fifteen Million Naira) to a petitioner , who claimed that he made a total deposit of N12,293,000.000( Twelve Million, Two Hundred and Ninety Three Thousand Naira) in instalments into her bank account, but after payments, no such cars were delivered to him and all efforts to recover his money proved abortive.
