EFCC Arrests Seven Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Lagos

Operatives of the Lagos Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday, April 14, 2022, arrested seven suspected internet fraudsters.
The suspects are: Sulaiman Ademola, Okechukwu Ndubuisi Prince, Sunday Carson Kingsley, Ikpeh Godwin Igojuju, Shile Temiloluwa Abiodun, Agboh Daniel and Nice Tom Eweh.
Alleged $1.3m Fraud: Appeal Court Sets Aside Acquittal of Kano Guber Aspirant, Zaura

Court of Appeal sitting in Kano on Wednesday April 13, 2022 set aside judgment of the Federal High Court , Kano which discharged and acquitted a Kano State gubernatorial candidate, Abdulsalam Sale Abdulkarim Zaura popularly known as AA Zaura.
Zaura was prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on a five count charge before the Federal High Court sitting in Kano.
The Commission accused Zaura of defrauding a Kuwaiti national of the sum of $1,320,000 (One Million Three Hundred and Twenty Thousand Dollars) under the pretext that he is into real estate development in Dubai, Kuwait and other Arab countries.
Man Docked for N3.3m Car Scam in Kaduna

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Wednesday 13th April, 2022, arraigned one Theophilus Akins before Justice Darius Khobo of the Kaduna State High Court, Kaduna on a one count charge bordering on criminal misappropriation.
Akins entered into an agreement with the Complainant sometime in 2019 to help in selling three cars valued at N3,380,000 ( Three Million, Three Hundred and Eighty Thousand Naira only) but diverted the proceeds to personal use.
Army Commends EFCC on Good Results

The General Officer Commanding, GOC, 6 Division, Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Major General O.O. Oluyede has commended the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, saying it is a government agency delivering good results to the nation.
He stated this on Tuesday, April 13, 2022 when the Port Harcourt Zonal Commander of the EFCC, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, Nwanneka Nwokike paid him a Courtesy Visit.
According to him, the EFCC has shown through record of its convictions and recoveries that it is yielding results in the fight against corruption. "Our job is important due to the activities of saboteurs and to be honest, this is the only outfit we get result from", he said. He also said that it is good for the Army and EFCC to work together and move the country forward.

The ongoing trial of one Stanley Okafor and his company, Larbrador Shipping Services Limited, for an alleged $111,500,000 fraud before Justice O.A. Taiwo of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos continued on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, with the defence and prosecution adopting their written addresses on the no-case submission filed by the defendants.
Okafor, who was first arraigned on November 26, 2021, is being prosecuted on a nine-count amended charge bordering on possession of false documents, forgery, attempt to obtain by false pretence, and using as genuine a false document contrary to Section 364 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011.
