The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has called on students across the country to be change agents in the fight against corruption.
This call was made on Friday, July 9, 2021 by the Head, Public Affairs, Port Harcourt Zonal Office of the EFCC, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, Dele Oyewale, while addressing members of Integrity Club and students of Police Secondary School, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The trial of Alhaji Muhammed Kyari who is facing a-two count charge of criminal conspiracy and obtaining by false pretence to the tune of N99, 750,000.00 (Ninety Nine Million, Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) commenced on Friday, July 9, 2021 before Justice Umaru Fadawu of the Borno State High Court sitting in Maiduguri with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, presenting three witnesses against the defendant.
The defendant was arraigned on June 21, 2021, alongside his company, Kyari and Sons Company Nigeria Limited.
Court Sends Two Varsity Students to Jail Over Love Scam

Justice Sikiru Oyinloye of the Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin on Friday, July 9, 2021 sentenced a final year student of Ekiti State University, EKSU, Ado Ekiti, Adeyemi Kehinde and a 21-year-old student of the Kwara State University, KWASU, Molete, Oladosu Olakunmi Olalekan, to various prison jail terms, having found them guilty of offences bordering on cybercrime
The two convicts were arraigned on separate charges today by the Ilorin Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Adeyemi, also known as ‘Queen Elizabeth’ was charged on one count, while Oladosu was prosecuted on three counts.
Man Docked in Maiduguri for N5m Fraud

The Maiduguri Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Friday, July 9, 2021 arraigned one Mustapha Ishen before Justice Umaru Fadawu of the Borno State High Court, Maiduguri on one count charge bordering on obtaining by false pretence to the tune of N5million (Five Million Naira).
The defendant was alleged to have fraudulently induced one Musa Abba Shuwa to buy a plot of land from him under the pretext that he was authorized to sell the land by the owner.
Court Jails Man for N2.6m Contract Scam in Kaduna

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Kaduna Zonal office has secured the conviction of one Abubakar Uthman before Justice M.T.M Aliyu of Kaduna State High Court sitting in Kaduna, on one count of attempted fraud.
The suspect was first arraigned on 3rd April, 2021, allegedly obtained N2, 650,000.00(Two Million Six Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) from a complainant as 10% contribution towards the execution of a purported contract awarded by the Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB). The complainant later discovered that the so called contract was non-existent and every efforts to retrieve his money failed.
