Justice R.M. Aikwa of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, ordered an interim forfeiture of the sum of N449, 770, 000( Four Hundred and Forty-nine Million , Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) recently uncovered by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in a shop at LEGICO Shopping Plaza, Victoria Island, Lagos.

EFCC Vows to Prosecute All INEC Staff Indicted for Corruption in the Conduct of 2015 election

The Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu has said that the Commission will prosecute all staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Indicted for corruption in the conduct of the 2015 general election. According to him, " we are already prosecuting some of the INEC staff, we have started in Lagos and we are in the process in Port-Harcourt, Kano and Gombe". The EFCC boss made the disclosure Thursday, April 13 while playing host to the Chairman of INEC, Professor Mahmud Yakubu who led other management staff of the electoral body on a courtesy visit to the EFCC head office, Abuja.
