Court Jails Man, 65, For N206.5m Stocks Fraud in Lagos

Justice Mojisola Dada of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, convicted and sentenced one Osho Aluko-Kola, who was prosecuted on a nine-count charge bordering on conspiracy and stealing to the tune of N206,502,490.02, to nine years imprisonment.
Aluko-Kola was arraigned by the Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on July 4, 2020, alongside six companies: Centurion Registrars Limited; United Securities Limited; Evolution Construction Engineering Design Limited; Cities & Towers Logistics Limited, Continental Exim Nigeria Limited and Diffusion Impex Limited.

Justice Mojisola Dada of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, on Thursday, December 15, 2022, ordered that Decrest Ayaduk Haulage, a company belonging to the late Adekunle Adedeji, be wound up over a N150m fraud.
The Judge also ordered the company’s assets sold to restitute the said sum of N150m, which was a loan facility granted the deceased by Unity Bank.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, had, in 2018, investigated a petition from the bank, accusing the defendant of defrauding it by diverting the money to other personal purposes rather than the haulage business he claimed it was meant for.
Be Change Agents, Bawa Charges Corps Members

The Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, has called on members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, to be change agents and take ownership of the war against economic and financial crimes, in order to save the nation from its damaging effects.
He gave the charge on Thursday, December 15, 2022 in a lecture entitled “EFCC And The Role of Youth in Curbing Corruption” for members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, 2022 Batch ‘C’ Stream II, at the NYSC Orientation Camp, Yikpata, Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State.
Bawa, whose sensitisation lecture was delivered by an Assistant Commander of the EFCC, Ayodele Babatunde, Head, Public Affairs Department of the Ilorin Zonal Office of the Commission admonished the youth to resist the temptation of being lured into cybercrimes warning that the end could be “perilous and shameful".
EFCC Sensitizes BUK Students on Cybersecurity

The Kano Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has today sensitized 36 Criminology and Security Studies students of Bayero University Kano on cyber security and financial crime.
Heads of Cyber Crime Sections, CSE Sadiq Olamide and CSE Musa Bashir Olalekan, lectured the students on the rudiments of cybercrime and cybersecurity, trends, vulnerabilities and how they can protect themselves from becoming victims of cybercrime.
The deputy Zonal Commander, ACE 11 Ufen Sunday Imu who represented the Zonal Commander, charged the students to assist in propagating the anti-corruption message to their fellow students especially in the area of cyber-crime which is mostly being perpetrated by youth.
Yahoo School Proprietor, 13 'Students' in EFCC’s Net in Benin

Operatives of the Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on Thursday, December 15, 2022 arrested Ese Isaiah, proprietor of a ‘Yahoo School’, and 13 of his 'students'.
The suspects are Alex Aimuanosa, Jeremiah Umoru, Destiny Aghayere, Christian Oghenekevwe, Wisdom Christopher, Daniel Matthew and Gift Patrick.
Others are Lucky Paul, Godspower Osatuohien, Edafe Isaiah, John Elvis, Favour Oseghale and Osas Egho.
