Court Convicts Two, Arraigns Another for Fraud in Maiduguri

Justice Aisha Kumaliya of the Borno State High Court, Maiduguri has convicted and sentenced the duo of Adamu Ali and Musa Yakubu to six months imprisonment each on a two count amended charge for the offences of conspiracy to commit cheating and cheating.
The duo are alleged to have induced some job applicants to pay him a sum of N1,100,000 with the false promises of facilitating employment for them at the National Drug Law enforcement Agency, NDLEA.

The Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on October 17, 2022, arraigned one Ofozie Chris Onyedikachi before Justice Mojisola Dada of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos on a one-count charge bordering on stealing to the tune of N30,000,000 (Thirty Million Naira).
The offence is contrary to Section 285(9) (b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011.

The Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on October 17, 2022, arraigned one Usman Tolani Abass before Justice Mojisola Dada of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos on a five-count charge bordering on stealing to the tune of N10,000,000 (Ten Million Naira).
The offence is contrary to Section 285(9) (b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011.

Police Pledges Support for the EFCC in Ibadan

Adebowale Williams, the new Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, has pledged to support the Ibadan Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in the fight against economic and financial crimes in the state.
He stated this on Friday, October 14, 2022, during a courtesy visit. According to him, “the police will continue to support the EFCC in any capacity to enable us achieve our mandate”.
EFCC Arrests 12 Bankers for Suspected Insider Fraud in Enugu

The Enugu Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Friday, October 14, 2022 arrested twelve(12) bankers for suspected insider fraud.
The suspects are: Odeniyi Anthony, Deki Kingsley Onyekachi, Oguchukwu Ene, Elendu Chizaram, Anyakora Uchenna, Onah Kingsley, Akwe Elizabeth and Chinenye Grace Acibe.
Others are: Victoria Ezedie, Chidi-Ukah Obinna, Etoh Lawrence Uzochukwu and Udeze Harrison.
