The Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on Wednesday November 3, 2021 secured the conviction of Wisdom Ogharadoro and Jonathan Queen on one count charge of impersonation before Justice F. O. Olubanjo of the Federal High Court sitting in Asaba, Delta State.
Ogharadoro was arraigned for fraudulently impersonating the identities of Mary Harry, Jeff Handrick, Wendy Binary and Jerry Williams (all white men) in order to defraud unsuspecting victims while Queen impersonated Sophia Rodriguez, a United States of America citizen to send fraudulent documents and pictures to one Roberto Arnoldo.

The trial of a former Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, his two sons, Aminu and Mustapha, Aminu Wada Abubakar, Bamaina Holdings Ltd and Speeds International Ltd for an alleged N1.35 billion fraud continued today November 5, 2021 before Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of the Federal High Court, Abuja with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, presenting its sixteenth witness, a Certified Ethical Hacker, and forensics analyst of the Commission, Mercy Titus.
Titus told the court that, as a professional digital forensics examiner, her schedule is to analyze contents of various digital devices such as flash drives, hard drives, mobile phones, tablets, and all sorts of storage devices using a software or other tools in order to recover information contained in those devices, and ensure the integrity of such devices are not compromised.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday, November 4, 2021 presented it sixth prosecution witness, PW6, in the ongoing money laundering trial of former Niger State governor, Muazu Babangida Aliyu and two others; Tanko Beji and Umar Nasko before Justice Mikail Aliyu of the Niger state High Court.
The defendants are being prosecuted for alleged criminal breach of trust and diversion of Two Billion Naira Ecological Fund.

The attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has been drawn to fake news trending on social media with the caption, “EFCC Crew poses for quick photograph with billionaire socialite and businessman Obi Cubana”.
The caption is as fake as any fake news can ever be because, at no time during his ongoing investigation, period in custody or release did Obi Cubana pose for photographs with EFCC staff.
Court Convicts Two Internet Fraudsters in Calabar

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Uyo Zonal Command, on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 secured the conviction of two internet fraudsters: Aghimien Elvis Efe ( aka Benjamin Lugo) and Enwereuzor Chinagorom Edward (alias Jushua Cobb Correy Williams) before Justice Dugbo Oghoghorie of the Federal High Court, Calabar, Cross River State.
The duo pleaded 'guilty' to the one count charge brought against them by the Commission for cyber-related fraud.
