The Port Harcourt's Zonal Commander of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, ACE Aliyu Naibi has lauded the reforms and positive strides being made for the repositioning of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, by its Executive Chairman Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa, describing them as a " paradigm shift"
He gave the commendation on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at the Nigerian Navy Intelligence School, Ubima, Rivers State, while delivering a lecture on the " History, Roles & Organisation of the EFCC" to trainee officers and ratings of the Navy.
According to him, there is a paradigm shift already in the EFCC and it is meant to strengthen the Commission and the workforce for more effective onslaught against economic and financial crimes.

The Ilorin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday, November 4, 2021 secured the conviction of one Shitu Labeeb Adebowale, accused of parading as Sheryl Sandberg, a Chief Operative Officer of one of the leading social media platform, Facebook, to swindle unsuspecting victims.
Justice Adenike Akinpelu of the Kwara State High Court, Ilorin found the defendant guilty of the two count-charge preferred against him by the EFCC, and sentenced him to six months imprisonment.

A certain Tanko Samari who fraudulently obtained N1, 160,000(One Million, One Hundred and Sixty Thousand Naira) from one Oladele Kolawole Ajayi by selling two plots of land that do not belong to him, has been convicted and sentenced to a fine of N100, 000 or in default, 10 years imprisonment by Justice Darius Khobo of the Kaduna State High Court.
Justice Khobo handed down the sentence today after the defendant pleaded guilty to the one count charge brought against him by the Kaduna Zonal Command of the EFCC.

Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of the Federal High Court, has adjourned the trial of a former Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, his two sons, Aminu and Mustapha, Aminu Wada Abubakar, Bamaina Holdings Ltd and Speeds International Ltd to November 5, 2021 for the continuation of cross examination of the star prosecution witness, Michael Wetkas. .
The defendants are being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on a 43-count charge bordering on money laundering and abuse of office to the tune of N1.35billion.
EFCC Arraigns Man for N2.2m Land Scam in Borno

The Maiduguri Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday, November 4, 2021 arraigned one Mohammed Gapchia Gana, alias Mamman Shuwa, before Justice Aisha Kumaliya of the Borno State High Court, Maiduguri, on a three-count charge bordering on criminal breach of trust to the tune of N2, 200, 000.00 (Two Million, Two Hundred Thousand Naira).
The defendant allegedly swindled the trio of Mohammed Hassan, Fati Buba and Falmata Fali by separately selling a piece of land located at 44G, behind the Federal Road Safety Corps office, along Damboa Road, Maiduguri, to them.
Gapchia obtained the sum of N850, 000.00 (Eight Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) from Mohammed Hassan; N700, 000.00 (Seven Hundred Thousand Naira) from Fati Buba and collected the sum of N650, 000.00 (Six Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) from Falmata Fali for the same land which did not belong to him.
