The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, has described as alarming the level of cybercrime activities in the country.
Speaking during a conference organised by the Cyber Security Experts of Nigeria (CSEAN) with the theme: “The Future of Cyber Security in Nigeria’s Digital Transformation” on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, he said the conference was not only timely but necessary, considering the rise in the trends of cybercrimes across the globe and Nigeria in particular.

The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission {EFCC}, Abdulrasheed Bawa, has charged youths graduating from the secondary schools to shun activities related to cybercrime and be good ambassadors of Nigeria.
Bawa stated this as a guest speaker at the 16th Annual Graduation Ceremony of of Capital Science Academy, Kuje, Abuja on 2nd October, 2021.
Maina’s Son Faisal Bags 14 Year Jail Term

Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, today Thursday, October 7, 2021 convicted and sentenced the son of former Chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Task Team, PRTT, Abdulrasheed Maina, Faisal, to 14 years imprisonment.
The Court found Faisal guilty on a three-count charge of money laundering brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Man Bags 6months for Attempted Cheating in Ilorin

Justice Adenike Akinpelu of the Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin has sentenced one Adetunji John Adebayo from Igbeti, Olorunsogo Local Government Area of Oyo State, to six months imprisonment for offences bordering on attempted cheating by personation.
The offence is contrary to Section 95 punishable under Section 324 of the Penal Code Law.
EFCC Tasks Nigerian Students On Positive Social Values

The Port Harcourt Zonal Commander of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, ACE Aliyu Naibi has charged Nigerian students to embrace positive values of hard work, innovation and enterprise as effective ways of tackling economic and financial crimes.
He gave this charge on Wednesday, September 6, 2021, while addressing the National Union of Rivers State Students, at their National Cyber Security Summit which held at the Rivers State University, Nkpolu- Oroworujwo, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
