He allegedly extorted various sums from a contractor on the pretext of awarding him a N3billion contract for the perimeter wall fencing of the University.
EFCC, SEC Strengthens Collaboration with Training in Capital Market Fraud Investigation

The existing collaboration between the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, and the Security and Exchange Commission, SEC, received a boost with a capacity-building training for select officers of the Commission in the Lagos Zonal Command.
Speaking during the one-day training tagged “ Enlightenment Programme on the Capital Market and the Investigation of Capital Market Complaints” which held at the Conference Room of the EFCC Lagos Zonal Command today, Tuesday, October 12, 2021, Stephen Falomo, Director, SEC, Lagos Zonal Office, said the training was one of the strategies of the agency to drive the development of the market, while also sharing knowledge with the EFCC to achieve a “ well-regulated market that is dynamic , fair and equitable.”

The Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Monday October 11, 2021 arraigned the duo of Ukhuriegbe Glory Irekpitan and Onyekwa Joshua Chinedum before Justice S. M. Shuaibu of the Federal High Court sitting in Benin, Edo State on two count charge each of impersonation.
The defendants are alleged to have impersonated Anthony Joshua, the British boxer of Nigerian descent, to defraud two ladies of the sums of £10,000 pounds and £5, 491, 23 in London.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Makurdi Zonal Command, on Monday, October 11, 2021, arraigned one Godwin Ajeh before Justice M. A. Ikpambese of the Benue State High Court, Makurdi on a two count charge bordering on issuance of dud cheque and misappropriating a sum of Eleven Million Naira (N11, 000,000).
The defendant was entrusted with the sum of Eleven Million Naira to purchase a Toyota Prado Land Cruiser Jeep but misappropriated the same and further issued two cheques to the victim which were returned unpaid due to insufficient funds in the account.
