Court Convicts 17 Internet Fraudsters in Uyo

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, Uyo Zonal Command on Friday 17 September, 2021 secured the conviction of 17 Internet fraudsters before Justice Stephen Daylop Pam of the Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The convicts are: Valentine Moses Ukong, Ebuka Kelvin Uzokwe, Onedo Elohor Caleb, Godson Lekia Tophie, Achilonu Moses Chidiebere, Monshe Oloko Pius, Samuel Egu Ezeh, Akobo Joseph Chikone, Morayor Jerry Shina and Obioma Joel.
EFCC Advises Nigerian Youths to Shun Corruption

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Saturday, September 18, 2021 called on Nigerian youths to shun all forms of corrupt practices and align themselves with the campaign against the malaise.
The call was made by the Head, Special Control Unit against Money Laundering, SCUML, Kaduna Zonal Command of the EFCC, Ayodepo Kazeem, during a public lecture on the Effects of Corruption at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna.
EFCC Arrests 16 Internet Fraud Suspects in Enugu

Operatives of the Enugu Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC have arrested 16 suspected internet fraudsters in three separate sting operations in the Monarch area, New Haven Extension and Castle Majestic Hotel, Ogui Road, Enugu.
The suspects were arrested following verified intelligence on their alleged involvement in internet-related fraud activities. Part of the intelligence indicated that suspected internet fraudsters were operating from Castle Majestic Hotel, Enugu. Based on the intelligence, and weeks of surveillance, a search warrant was executed on the facility on Thursday September 16, 2021.
Anti-graft War: Igbo Youth Organizations Pledge Support to EFCC in Enugu

A group of youth organisations in the Southeast comprising the National Association of Nigerian Student, NANS, National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Ohaneze Ndi Igbo Youths, on Friday, September 17, 2021 pledged their support for the fight against economic and financial crimes in the southeast region. They made the pledge during a visit to the Enugu Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes, EFCC.
The leader of the delegation and Vice president of the NYCN, Comrade Innocent Nduanya, who thanked the Zonal Commander, Oshodi Johnson for receiving them at short notice, said the groups were in Enugu to deliberate on issues affecting the welfare of youths in the south east and thought it wise to visit the EFCC to pledge their support. “You are a young man like us and one of our own. We are well meaning Nigerian youths who hate corruption and are trying our best to see that it ends in Nigeria. Our reason for coming to Enugu is to deliberate on issues pertaining to the welfare of the youths in the South east,” he said.
EFCC Seeks CBN Support in Tackling Fraudulent Investment Managers

The Port Harcourt Zonal Commander of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, ACE Aliyu Naibi, has called on the Central Bank of Nigeria( CBN) to offer the EFCC more information and other support in tackling fraudulent investment managers operating in the Niger Delta area of Nigeria.
He made this call in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 while receiving the Rivers State Branch Controller, CBN, Mrs Oruwari O. B who paid him a Courtesy Visit. Naibi lamented the alarming cases of fraudulent investment managers in Rivers State and the attendant loss of "funds by various investors" and sued for more support from the CBN to stem the tide of such cases.
