The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on June 17, 2021 arrested the duo of Kess Theophilus and Sunday Eshiebor Isaiah for alleged conspiracy, impersonation and cryptocurrency-related fraud.
Their arrest came on the heels of a petition by one Nalin Sharma who met the suspects through a LinkedIn account, Sophia Gomez, and was lured into a phony bitcoin business.

Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court sitting in Warri, Delta State on June 24, 2021 convicted and sentenced two companies, Poseidon Marine Services Limited and DSC Marine Limited to a fine of N500,000 each.

Construction of an additional office block for the Kaduna Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, began in earnest on Friday June 25, 2021 with the handover of the site to the project contractor, Messrs. Progressive Global Construction Associates Limited by the Zonal Head, ACE II Harry Erin who stood in for the Executive Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa.
The project, a one-storey building with provision for offices and exhibit room among others, is to cost N146, 622,992.71(One Hundred and Forty Six Million, Six Hundred and Twenty Two Thousand, Nine Hundred and Ninety Two Naira, Seventy One Kobo).

The Uyo Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, on Thursday June 24, 2021, secured the conviction of four internet fraudsters before Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of the Federal High Court sitting in Calabar, Cross River State.
The convicts: Eneji Emmanuel, (a.k.a Karen Moana, Buccly Clunder, Mainer Chic, Karen Klunder) Adie Stephen Udie (alias Laura Vazquze), Nwandike Kelechi (a.k.a Bradley) and Victor Francis (alias Donald Walter), pleaded guilty to separate charges bordering on love scam and obtaining by false pretence.
N66m Fraud: Court Closes Wakil, Mama Boko-Haram’s Defence

Justice Aisha Kumaliya of Borno State High Court has closed the defence of Aisha Alkali Wakil popularly known as ‘Mama-Boko Haram’ following her refusal to speak in response to questions and issues raised by the court under the guise that she is severely ill.
She had informed the court through gesticulations on the day she opened her defence that she could not speak directly to the court due to ill health.
