EFCC Arraigns Man for Failure to Fully Declare Assets

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Kaduna Zonal office has re-arraigned one Alhaji Yushau Mohammed Ahmed before Justice Z.B. Abubakar of the Federal High Court sitting in Kaduna, Kaduna State on a one count charge bordering on failure to make full disclosure of all his assets in his asset declaration form.
The defendant was first arraigned on 3rd December, 2020 and granted bail on 18th January, 2021 but was re-arraigned on Wednesday June 23, 2021 following the transfer of the former trial judge, Justice M. P Hommuk.

The Port Harcourt Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arraigned a former President of Port Harcourt Club 1928, Chief Diamond Tobin- West, four other officers: Chief Morrison Ifeanyi Asimole; Telema Osazuwa; Christian Kenechukwu Okoli, Tonye Azike and a firm, Afro- Rivers Nigeria Limited, before Justice P.I. Ajoku of the Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, River State, for conspiracy and money laundering to the tune of N10, 170, 120( Ten Million, One Hundred and Seventy Thousand, One Hundred and Twenty Naira only).
The six suspects were arraigned on Thursday, June 24, 2021, on 18- count charges bordering on conspiracy and money laundering contrary to Section 18(a) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act, 2011, as amended.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC Enugu Zone on Thursday, June 24, 2021 secured the conviction of one Osondu Kevin Nnamere before Justice I .M Buba of the Federal High Court sitting in Enugu, on a one count charge bordering on Criminal impersonation with the intent to defraud.
The defendant was arrested in a sting operation at the Independence Layout area of Enugu on Saturday June 4, 2021 following credible intelligence received on his alleged involvement in computer-related fraud.
National Defence College Alumni Decorates Bawa as Patron

The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abdurasheed Bawa, was on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 decorated as patron of the Alumni Association of the National Defence College, ANNDEC.
The investiture, with a symbolic branded-muffler, was the high point of the visit by executives of the association led by its president, Major General Garba Audu (retd) to the EFCC Headquarters, Abuja.
Gen. Audu said the conferment which is in line with Section 11 of the ANNDEC constitution, was in recognition of the EFCC Chairman’s contributions to the promotion of national security and development.
