EFCC Charges Students, Corps Members to Embrace Hard work, Shun Cybercrimes

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has urged Nigerian students and Youth Corps members to embrace hard work and shun any involvement in computer-related frauds.
The Zonal Head of the Lagos Office, Ghali Ahmed, gave the charge at a Nation-wide Attitudinal Re-Orientation Programme for Students in Tertiary Institutions- South West Zone organized by the National Orientation Agency, NOA, in collaboration with the International Organisation for Migration held at the Lagos State Polytechnic, LASPOTECH, Ikorodu, Lagos on Wednesday, April 28, 2021.
Ghali, who was represented by Ayo Oyewole, Head, Public Affairs Directorate, Lagos said the warning had become imperative, following the alarming rate of youths’ involvement in all forms of social vices across the country.
He said: “There is no better time to sensitize and encourage our students and youths to shun all forms of criminal tendencies and imbibe desirable attitudes necessary for national development and better future than now.

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Benin Zonal Office, through its intelligence gathering operation code-named 'Erinle,' today Wednesday April 28, 2021 arrested 34 alleged internet fraudsters in Owo, Ondo State.
Those arrested are Adesuyan Ayoola, Oyesanmi Shola, Adegbole Victor, Osagie Ekiende, Akinayomide James, Okunade Jamilu, Omotoso Oluwaseyi, David Oluwatobi, Ahmed Rilwan, Saheed Odunayo, Olorunfemi Emmanuel, Obakpolor Tommy, Emmanuel Ibe, Temiloluwa Joshua, Victor Benjamin, Akinwale Oluwaseun and Ogunboye Dotun.

Operatives of the Lagos Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested 18 suspected internet fraudsters in Lagos State.
The suspects are: Ayomide Christian Balogun, Harrison Etshede, Rahim Ibrahim Ajiboye, Nwafor Ebuka, Christian Onyenachi, Egbe Emmanuel Olemuno, Okoye Charles, Moses Isaac Benjamin and Abubakar Mukthar.
Others are: Ayodele Adewusi Khalid, John Folarin Oyindamola, Oshilaja Ayomide Samson, Olayinka Samuel Juwon, Keshinro Ridwan Oluwafemi, Sulaimon Waris Titilope, Samuel Odei Olamilekan, Shen Banjo Olusayo and Michael Olayinka Ike.
Five Suspected Internet Fraudsters in EFCC Net in Abuja

Operatives of the Abuja Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested five suspected internet fraudsters. The suspects: Emeto Jude Ikenna, Miracle Temple, Victor Onyekachi, Silver Matthew Kingsley and Promise Emmanuel, were arrested in the early hours of Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at their hideouts, room C9, Ibanu Suite, Mabushi and F01 Kubwa, Abuja.
EFCC Arrests Man For Alleged $10,000 Fraud

The Lagos Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested one Adeshina Lukman for an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence and stealing to the tune of $10,000.
Adeshina was arrested on April 14, 2021 in the Ipaja/Ayobo area of Lagos, following a complaint received by the Commission from one Isa Abdulhamid Mohammed.
Mohammed, in his petition, alleged that one Bashir Haruna Isa, a Bureau De Change operator, sometime in March 2020, approached him with an offer to sell $10,000, while he (Mohammed) would pay the Naira equivalent of the Dollars to him.
He further alleged that when Isa requested a Dollar account where the money would be paid into, he was provided with a Wells Fargo Bank account number 4861511475.
According to him, upon receipt of the money paid by one Thomas Joyner in the United States of America into the Dollar account, he made a transfer of Three Million, Five Hundred Naira (N3,500,000.00), being the Naira equivalent of the Dollars into Isa’s account in a new generation bank.
