EFCC, A Critical Partner in Global Crime War - FBI

The Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI has described the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, as a critical partner in the global fight against organized crime and corruption that needed to be commended for its professionalism.
The Legal Attaché of the Bureau, Uche Ahamdi made the commendation on Thursday May 6, 2021 when he led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the Enugu Zonal Head of the Commission, Oshodi Johnson in his office at Independence Layout, Enugu.
“EFCC is a critical partner to the FBI and they have certain capacities in this fight against crime and are doing very well and we believe that if more values are added to their work, they would do even more. So, our visit is to strengthen our collaborative information sharing between,” he said.
EFCC Arrests Siblings for Alleged Internet Fraud in Lagos

Operatives of the Lagos Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested two siblings for their alleged involvement in internet fraud.
The suspects, Queen and Rowland Kalu, were arrested on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at the Amikanle Alagbado area of Lagos State.
Their arrest followed credible intelligence received by the Commission about their alleged involvement in computer- related fraud and online dating scam.
KWIRS Parleys EFCC Over Tax Evasion in Kwara

The Kwara State Internal Revenue Service, KWIRS, has solicited the support of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in dealing with the increasing rate of tax evasion in the State.
The Executive Chairman, KWIRS, Shade Omoniyi, made the call on Thursday, May 6, 2021 when she led the management staff of the Service on a working visit to the new Zonal Head, Ilorin Office of the EFCC, Usman Muktar.
According to Omoniyi, "we are here to seek your support in tackling the menace of tax evasion in the State. We need the support of relevant government agencies like EFCC to curb tax evasion in the public and private sectors within the State.”
EFCC Arrests Eight Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Abuja

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested eight suspected internet fraudsters.
The suspects who are between the ages of eighteen and twenty-nine were arrested at Jabi, Abuja, in the early hours of Thursday, May 6, 2021, based on credible information about their alleged criminal activities.
The suspects are Emmanuel Anyeba, Precious Samuel, Mujib Ariyo, Micheal Ogaba, Mathew Ibeh, Jamiu Ariyo, Precious Kalu and Isaac Sunday.
EFCC Arrests Human Organs' Trafficker in Port Harcourt

Operatives of the Port Harcourt Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested leader of a syndicate selling and buying human organs for trafficking to foreigners.
The syndicate leader: Ukaeje John Emeka ( alias Dr. Phil Mark, Dr. Donald Phillip, Dr. Wesley David), was arrested on April 16, 2021 at Rumukparali, Ozuoba, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, based on established intelligence on his suspicious fraudulent internet dealings.
Preliminary investigations by the EFCC showed that, the suspect is leading a syndicate of fraudsters falsely presenting themselves as medical doctors, with a human organ bank, particularly kidneys for sale and purchase.
