EFCC, UniAbuja to Enhance Training in Forensic Science

The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Abdulrasheed Bawa today April 1, 2021 pledged to enhance the collaboration between the Commission and the University of Abuja in developing postgraduate programnmes in Forensic. He made the pledge in his office while receiving a delegation from the University of Abuja led by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Abdulrasheed Na ‘Allah.
According to the EFCC Chair, the changing trend in criminality makes it is imperative for the agency to improve the capacity of its officers. “It is our desire that our officers are up to date as you are aware that crime is changing and evolving and the world has turned digital; everything is on the internet and there is the need to know new trends coming up and we hope that the collaboration through the establishment of different programmes will yield results in combating corruption”, he said.

EFCC Nabs 34 Yahoo Boys in Ibadan, Lagos

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested a total of 34 suspected internet fraudsters, also known as Yahoo Yahoo Boys. They were apprehended in separate operations in Ibadan, Oyo state and Lagos.
Twenty four of the suspects, most of whom claimed to be undergraduates, were rounded up today April 1, 2021 at their hideout in Apete area of Ibadan, Oyo State by operatives from the Ibadan Zonal Office of the Commission.

The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commissions, EFCC Abdulrasheed Bawa today Wednesday March 31, 2021 charged Nigerians to be vigilant and play their part in checking the illicit flow of the nation’s resources out of the country.
He gave the charge in his office while receiving a report on illicit financial flows from a coalition of Nigerian Civil Society Organizations led by the Human and Environmental Development Agenda, HEDA.
