EFCC Arrests 27 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Lagos

Operatives of the Lagos Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested 27 suspected internet fraudsters.
The suspects are: David Promise, Cyril Okodogbe, Taiwo Femi, Jasa Oghenerwede Frank, Adesokan Ibrahim, Femi Emmanuel Phillip, Jimoh Olayinka Alimi, Anene Dominic, Victor Damola, Israel Attah, Alonge Oluwadamilare, Muhammadu Sani Garba, Luis Fred and Adu Olaoluwa.
Others are: Precious Utomi, Oladosu Samuel, Andrew John, Olayiwola Ojo, Ekong Samuel Enobong, Oluwakemi Ezekiel, Okewole Segun, Olawale Adekunle, Ajibade Idris Adeniyi, Imeobong-Odion Promise, Karaole Lateef, Rowland Emmanuel and Nelson Lucky.
Enugu Zonal Head Tasks Staff on Commission’s Mandate

The South East Zonal Head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Oshodi Johnson has charged staff of the Zone to be altruistic in pursuit of the Commission’s mandate, stating that the EFCC could only achieve its mission with a dedicated and disciplined staff.
Oshodi gave the charge on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 while delivering the monthly Zonal Head’s Lecture at the Zonal headquarters, Independence Layout, Enugu. ‘‘The Staff Regulation is clear on our expected behaviour with regards to our work and conducts.
‘’You must live above board on issues of integrity and professionalism as failure to do so will attract necessary sanctions’’ he warned.
EFCC, A-TIPSOM Join Forces Against Human Trafficking

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has offered to support the Action Against Trafficking In Persons and Smuggling of Migrants in Nigeria (A-TIPSOM) to achieve its objective of tackling financial crimes associated with human trafficking and smuggling.
The Executive Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa made the offer on Thursday April 15, 2021 while receiving the Project Leader, Mr. Rafael Rios Molina and his team at the EFCC headquarters, Abuja.
According to him, “We have the capacity to assist you and we will assist you, we will look at the numerous experts we have that can help you”.
ICPC, FIRS Seek Collaboration with EFCC in Tackling Corruption

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS, have called for increased synergy between the agencies and the EFCC in combating corruption.
The ICPC resident Anti-Corruption Commissioner in charge of Makurdi, Benue State, Chilli Ogwuegbu made the appeal on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, while on a Courtesy Visit to the EFCC Office in Makurdi. He solicited for closer collaboration and cooperation with the EFCC.
According to him, "we are arms of government that are supposed to work in harmony and collaboration with each other, most especially since we are fighting crimes in this country; we thought we should come and foster a good partnership and build on what already exist before both of us came here”.
