The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, On Tuesday March 21, 2023 arraigned one Kichime Gomwalk, a branch manager of First City Monument Bank, FCMB, Michael Damkas Buayam of Tan Global Energy Limited, and Abbas Andrew Dayilim of Castlegate International Limited before Justice P. S. Gang of the Plateau State High Court Jos, on a five-count charge bordering on stealing, cheating and obtaining by false pretense to the tune of N55,000.000.00 (Fifty Five Million Naira) fraud.
Kichime Gomwalk, while serving as branch Manager, FCMB Plc, Murtala Mohammed Way Jos, in Plateau State is alleged to have forged COCIN GRATUITY CERTIFICATE OF PLEDGE/LETTER OF SET-OFF dated 30th DECEMBER, 2019, purportedly co-signed by Mrs. Monica Bitrus Tang and Rev (Dr.) Amos Musa Mohzo, Directors, which he used to secure overdraft facility from FCMB Plc to the tune of N55, 000.000.00 (Fifty-Five Million Naira) with COCIN Gratuity account N0. 100GOMWALK379 domiciled with FCMB Plc.

The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, stated that the Commission was working to strengthen all existing relationships with agencies in the country to achieve its objectives.
He stated this when the Commandant of the Nigerian Air Force Institute of Technology, NAFIT, Air Vice Marshal P.O Jemitola paid a courtesy visit to the Commission in Abuja.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abuja Zonal Command, has arraigned one Aiosa Kelvin Orhue before Justice C.E. Nwecheonwu of the FCT High Court, Kuje, Abuja on a three count charge bordering on love scam.
One of the counts reads, “that you, Aiosa Kelvin Orhue (aka Fredrick Leonard) sometime in 2021, at Abuja within the jurisdiction of the Honourable Court, by false pretense and with intent to defraud obtained the sum of N104,000,000 (One Hundred and Four Million Naira) only from one Cheryldene Cook, that you are one Frederick Leonard who is in love with her and you made her to believe that you are going to marry her which you knew to be false and you thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Sections 1 (1)(a) and 1 (3) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006 respectively”.
Truck Driver Jailed 12months for Illegal Mining in Kwara

Justice Muhammed Sani of the Federal High Court sitting in Ilorin, Kwara State has convicted and sentenced one Buba Muhammed, a 37-year-old truck-driver, to one-year imprisonment for possession of solid minerals confirmed by the Nigerian Geological Survey Agency, NGSA, to be lepidolite, montmorillonite and chrysocolla, without lawful authority.
Lepidolite is one of the raw materials used in the production of batteries for vehicles, cell phones, cameras and other electronic devices.

The Kaduna Zonal Command of the EFCC has secured the conviction of one Ahmad Kabiru Gana before Justice A.A Bello on a one count charge bordering employment scam.
Gana, a Civil Servant had promised to help enlist the petitioner into the Nigeria Police Force at a cost of N287, 000 ( Two Hundred and Eighty Seven Thousand Naira Only) but failed to deliver after payments were made in trances into his account.
