EFCC Arrests Alleged Serial Canadian Visa Scammer in Abuja

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Friday, March 17, 2023 arrested one Enock Ifeoluwa Ogungbamigbe, an alleged serial visa scammer who specialize in duping Nigerians desperate to migrate to Canada either to work or further their education, through fake visa and job offers.
The 32-year old who owns a Garden in Mpape, a suburb of Abuja, was picked up at Transcorp Hotel, Abuja by operatives of the Commission, when he responded to an appointment to procure a visa for an applicant intending to migrate to Canada. Unknown to him, that it was a bait.

In furtherance of its objectives of getting the youths to take ownership of the fight against corruption, the Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Friday, March 17, 2023 inaugurated the EFCC Integrity Club at Imaguero College, Benin City, Edo State.
The Acting Zonal Commander, Nkechi Ude who was represented by Head, Public Affairs, Williams Oseghale urged the students to be exemplary in conduct, character and to make integrity their guide.

EFCC Teams Arrive States to Monitor Guber Polls

Ahead of the governorship and state assembly elections slated for Saturday, March 18, 2023, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has deployed personnel of the Agency across the states where the elections would be held.
The teams led by senior officers began arriving at their assigned locations earlier today, March 17, with a number of them holding consultation with the other security agencies involved in election security and officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The Ilorin Zonal Commander of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC Michael Nzekwe, has expressed the resolve of the Command to work with student bodies and relevant stakeholders in fighting corruption in schools and campuses in the State.
Nzekwe, an Assistant Commander of the EFCC disclosed this on Thursday, March 16, 2023, while playing host to a delegation of University of Ilorin Independent Students’ Anti-Corrupt Practices Commission, UISAPC, at the Command’s new office on No 10, Oko Close, Station Road, GRA, Ilorin.
EFCC, NIRA Sign MoU of Collaboration on Cyber Security

The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, on Thursday, March 16, 2023 reiterated the resolve of the Commission to build the capacity of its personnel to effectively combat the emerging trends in cyber security.
Bawa stated this during the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, between the EFCC and the Nigerian Internet Registration Association, NIRA led by its President, Muhammed Rudman, at the EFCC Head Office, Jabi, Abuja.
According to him, the MoU would further boost the understanding of his personnel on the modern trends in cyberspace and assist the Commission’s investigations.
