Justice Tijani Ringim of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, ordered a trial- within- trial in the alleged N304.1m fraud trial involving a former acting Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, Haruna Baba Jauro, and two others.
Jauro alongside Dr. Dauda Bitrus Bawa and a company, Thlumbau Enterprises Limited, is being prosecuted on a 19-count charge bordering on stealing and money laundering to the tune of N304, 118, 500( Three Hundred and Four Million One Hundred and Eighteen Thousand Five Hundred Naira).

Justice Tijani Ringim of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, admitted in evidence several documents tendered by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, against a former acting Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, Haruna Baba Jauro, and two others.
Jauro alongside Dr. Dauda Bitrus Bawa and a company, Thlumbau Enterprises Limited, is being prosecuted on a 19-count charge bordering on stealing and money laundering to the tune of N304, 118, 500( Three Hundred and Four Million One Hundred and Eighteen Thousand Five Hundred Naira).
At the resumed sitting today, the prosecution presented its third prosecution witness, PW3, Orji Chukwuma, an investigator with the Commission.

The Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, today March 14, 2023 inaugurated EFCC Integrity Club at St. Mary's Education Centre, Benin City.
The Acting Zonal Commander, Nkechi Ude, who was represented by Head, Public Affairs Department, Williams Oseghale urged the students to see themselves as role models, anti-corruption ambassadors and uphold the core values of the Club, which are integrity, honesty, discipline, responsibility, tolerance and patriotism. “Let these be your guiding principles. You must be exemplary in your conduct and character," he said.

How Ex-Minister Wakil, Others Shared N450m 2015 Election Bribe Cash- EFCC Witness

A Federal High Court, sitting in Maiduguri, Borno State on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 heard how a former minister of power, Mohammed Wakil and others shared a sum of N450million meant to influence the outcome of the 2015 presidential election in Borno State.
The Maiduguri Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, had on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 re-arraigned Wakil alongside Garba Abacha, Ibrahim Shehu Birma, Dr. Abubakar Ali Kullima and Engr. Muhammad Baba Kachalla.
They are alleged to have received the said sum from the $115million disbursed by a former minister of petroleum resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke to influence the outcome of the 2015 presidential election.

EFCC Arrests 21 Alleged Yahoo Boys in Abuja

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, today, March 14, 2023 arrested 21 suspected internet fraudsters.
The suspects include Joseph Boniface, Emmaneul Okwara, Elijah Iwebie, Moses Hassan, Abdulrahman Lawal, Azu Chidubem Eugene, Abdullahi Adebola and Elijah Simon.
